What You'll Do
Provide therapy services to children birth to 36 months of age in their natural environment which includes their home and or community. We use a family centered model that includes the parent or guardian as an important member of the child's team to achieve goals developed together. This position is home based and requires reliable transportation means. Specific operational priorities are identified in the annual Organization's Operational Work Plan. The occupant of this position is guided by the Organizational Systems Manual (policies and procedures), multi-year Strategic Plan, Operational Work Plan, Organizational Calendar and teamwork expectations in the conduct of all professional activities. The occupant is expected to maintain skills, credentials and knowledge essential for successful job performance.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Attend staff meetings, agency and ECI team in services and trainings.
- Complete continuing education needed to maintain certification/licensure and renew certification/licensure as necessary
- Update Human Resources on all needed documentation on a regular basis as required by agency standards
- Complete agency and program training as specified within timelines.
- Attend and participate in ECI team related quality assurance meetings and reviews including Utilization Review and Peer Review.
- Maintain communication throughout work hours with the main office.
- Conduct intakes and screenings per policies.
- Initiate and maintain contact with children's physicians for obtaining and updating necessary medical information.
- Serve as a member of a family-centered team to:
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive routines-based service plan primarily in a primary service provider model, and
- Assist families in identifying their routines, concerns, priorities and resources, and
- Perform and coordinate developmental assessments, and
- Assess development, goal attainment, and continuing needs on a periodic basis, and
- Reevaluate outcomes and strategies based on family centered choice.
- Provide routines-based Occupational Therapy within qualitative and quantitative standards of the agency.
- Assist and facilitate the work of team members, other departments, and agency managers in attaining the goals and objectives of the organization.
- Hands-on or direct training of skills, documentation, billing, competencies and theory as assigned.
- Be available to staff for answering questions, problem solving and case conferencing.
- Master's Degree in the field of Occupational Therapy from a recognized college or university.
- Registered with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Texas.
- Two-Three years in related setting preferred.
- Current driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
- Must show proof of certification and license to practice occupational therapy.
- Certified, by an approved provider, in CPR and Basic First Aid.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
