What You'll Do
As an Occupational Therapist you will work as a member of a team including teachers, speech/language pathologists, physical therapists and counselors
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Develop IEPs with other team members and families when necessary.
- Maintain professional standards, and current skills in therapy techniques.
- Provide occupational therapy services for children.
- Write session notes, progress notes and reports.
- Aid in maintaining equipment and workspace.
- Attend staff meetings, case conferences, and other meetings as assigned.
- Assist in staff development and training.
You're a great fit for this role if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in the field of Occupational Therapy from a recognized college or university approved by AOTA OR certificate as an occupational therapy assistant
- Current license in the state of New York
- Three years’ experience working with children as a therapist is preferred
Compensation
$60,000-85,000 (depending on credentials and experience) for occupational therapists, COTAs have a different salary scale
