Janitorial Supervisor (DHS)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Janitorial Supervisor (DHS) to lead our cleaning and custodial teams in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. In this role, you will oversee daily janitorial operations, coordinate cleaning schedules, and ensure all facilities meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate janitorial staff to ensure efficient completion of cleaning tasks across all designated areas
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules that optimize coverage while minimizing disruptions
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to verify adherence to cleanliness standards, safety regulations, and proper use of cleaning equipment
• Train team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and the use of specialized equipment such as floor buffers and industrial cleaning tools
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment maintenance, and procurement needs to ensure operational readiness
• Oversee floor care activities including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces
• Address any facility maintenance issues promptly or escalate as necessary to ensure continuous operational efficiency

Experience

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings, with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and safety protocols
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is highly desirable
• Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction
• Familiarity with residential painting or general maintenance tasks is a plus but not required
• Ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment safely and effectively
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
• Excellent communication skills for training staff and coordinating with management
