We're looking for detail orientated Cooks dedicated to crafting exceptional baked goods using the finest ingredients and traditional techniques. Bakers are responsible for producing a wide range of baked goods, including pastries, cakes, cookies, and more This position requires a high level of skill, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to maintaining our bakery's standards of excellence.

Cook Select Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Baking: Prepare and bake a variety of bakery items according to established recipes and procedures, ensuring that they meet our quality and consistency standards.
  • Ingredient Preparation: Measure and prepare ingredients accurately, weighing, mixing, and shaping dough as required for different products.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of products during the baking process, making necessary adjustments to maintain consistency in taste, texture, and appearance.
  • Timely Production: Adhere to production schedules to ensure that bakery items are available for sale as per demand and minimize waste.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, and management to coordinate production needs, share insights, and contribute to menu development.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following proper sanitation and food safety guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic baking environment.

Requirements

Must be 16 years or older. Successful team members consistently demonstrate exceptional hospitality and guest service, dependability, attention to detail, initiative, and teamwork.

Physical Requirements:

  • Hear with 100% accuracy with correction.
  • See 20/20 vision with correction.
  • Stand and walk 10 hours/day.
  • Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe throughout the entire shift
  • Process information and merchandise through computer system and POS register system
  • Communicate with team members and guests in a noisy kitchen.
  • Operate and use all equipment necessary to run the restaurant.
  • Move or handle merchandise, kitchen supplies, furniture, etc, generally weighing 0-75lbs.
  • Work varied hours/days to oversee store operations.
  • Have the ability to lift and move items frequently weighing up to 30 pounds, along with the ability to go up and down stairs.
  • Reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communications skills are required.
  • Willingness to work all stations including The Bean, The Seed, The Hops (age limitations), registers, and kitchen position.
