What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Officer position at The Farm Credit System?
Basic Function
Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and applicable policies and procedures governing business practices. Also may be responsible for supporting the Risk Management function. Manages and maintains the Association’s policies and procedures manual and processes for policy/procedure adoption, publishing and review.
REPORTS TO: CEO
SUPERVISES: None
Minimum Qualification
EDUCATION: Education and/or experience equivalent to an AA degree in Business or related field. EXPERIENCE: Three to Five year of related experience.
Sensory And Physical Requirements
Must have ability to read documents from many sources.
Must be able to communicate audibly in and with staff, customers and general public.
Desirable Qualifications
– Excellent organizational skills; proficient in the use of personal computers, multi-tasking. Good judgment and communications (oral and written) skills;
– Broad und erstanding of the laws and regulations governing financial institutions;
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

– Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing and speaking so that others will understand RESPONSIBILITIES (the essential responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to):
35% 1. Provides a Level of Internal Control for Credit Processes/Policies
35% 2. Serves as Compliance Officer
10% 3. Coordinate Audits/Tracking/Follow Up
10% 4. Keep Informed on Policy and Procedures updates; Coordinate Training as needed
10% 5. Credit Policy Training with New Lenders
