What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childcare Support worker (casual/per diem) position at The Family Place?
We are seeking flexible and reliable individuals to provide short-term childcare during workshops, parenting programs, and caregiver meetings. Childcare is provided in our community playroom while parents and caregivers participate in programs nearby.
Responsibilities:
· Provide safe, nurturing, and engaging care for children aged 6 months to 6 years.
· Supervise children in the community playroom during workshops and meetings.
· Facilitate age-appropriate play and activities.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming play environment.
· Follow agency policies and procedures related to child safety and supervision.
· Communicate any concerns or incidents promptly to program staff.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1.0 – 5.0 per week
Work Location: In person
