Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote infant development, including sensory play, motor skills, and social interaction.
- Provide attentive care to infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, dressing, and comforting as needed.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Observe and document each infant’s progress, behaviors, and milestones to inform individualized care plans.
- Engage with children through playful interaction, storytelling, singing, and other nurturing activities that stimulate cognitive and emotional growth.
- Follow all health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure environment for infants at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters trust and curiosity.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with infants or in early childhood education settings such as daycare or preschool is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for infant care.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to manage classroom routines with patience, flexibility, and positive behavior management techniques.
