We’re growing fast—and we’re a fun, supportive place to work! Since opening our doors in Gorham in September 2021, we’ve expanded rapidly and are excited to continuing growing! We’re currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to support our Saco office.
About Us
The Family Center of Maine is a leading provider of outpatient mental health counseling services. We support individuals, couples, and families throughout their mental health journeys and pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming environment for both clients and staff.
Job Overview
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, compassionate, and reliable individual to join our front office team. This role is key to ensuring a smooth experience for clients and clinicians alike.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly and manage front desk operations
- Check clients in and out efficiently and accurately
- Verify insurance coverage and discuss payment responsibilities
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments
- Coordinate clinician calendars
- Assist intake team with new client inquiries
- Answer and direct phone calls, manage voicemails, and provide excellent customer service
- Perform general administrative tasks as assigned by the Owner, Clinical Director, or Practice Manager
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with electronic medical records (preferred)
- Prior experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare office setting (preferred)
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Schedule & Compensation
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Pay: Weekly via direct deposit
- Benefits:
- 2 weeks paid time off

- ICHRA ( Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement) available for health plans selected through our provider. $200 reimbursement per month.
