Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. The Line Cook/Prep Cook will work closely with the kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Ensure proper food handling and safety practices are followed at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Perform inventory checks and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
• Support catering events by preparing meals and ensuring quality service.
• Utilize knife skills for food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
• Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Experience

• Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
• Proven experience in fine dining or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with food service operations, including meal preparation and catering services.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
• Culinary experience with strong cooking skills, including various cooking methods and techniques.
