LIH Station Manager

Position Summary

The Station Manager for TFG Aviation is accountable for all on-site operational performance, safety compliance, customer satisfaction, and staff management at the designated airport location. This includes oversight of:

• Aircraft Appearance
• Building Maintenance
• Catering Security Operations
• Cargo Operations
• Leads and Supervisors supporting these functions
  
  

The Station Manager is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance (OSHA, TSA, FAA, airport authority standards), financial accountability, workforce stability, and customer partnership alignment across all service lines. This role requires 24/7 operational ownership in an environment where airport operations never cease.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership & Staff Oversight
  
  

Manage and maintain appropriate staffing levels across all TFG Aviation service lines, including Aircraft Appearance, Building Maintenance, Catering Security, Cargo Operations, Leads, and Supervisors. Responsibilities include interviewing, onboarding, workforce planning, and ensuring all employment documentation and reporting requirements are completed accurately and timely.

• Multi-Service Line Accountability
  
  

Oversee Daily Execution And Quality Control Of

• Aircraft Appearance
• Janitorial / Facility Services
• Catering Security (including access control, seal checks, catering vehicle inspections, and regulatory compliance)
• Cargo Handling Operations
  
  

Ensure each division operates within contractual standards, airport authority requirements, and company SOPs.

• Training & Regulatory Compliance
  
  

Ensure All Team Members Receive Required Training, Including

• New Hire Orientation
• Recurrent Training
• Safety & OSHA Compliance
• TSA Security Training (as applicable for Catering Security and Cargo)
• Airport ID SIDA Badge & Driving Seals
  
  

Maintain documented training files and ensure strict adherence to security protocols, especially in sterile and secure areas.

• Performance Management
  
  

Conduct performance evaluations and ongoing coaching for Supervisors, Leads, and frontline employees. Address underperformance through documented corrective action in partnership with Human Resources.

• Customer & Stakeholder Communication
  
  

Maintain Consistent And Professional Communication With

Proactively address service concerns and operational challenges.

• Quality Assurance & Audit Compliance
  
  

Conduct daily quality audits across all operational areas using company-approved systems. Ensure compliance with customer SLAs and internal KPIs. For Catering Security and Cargo, ensure adherence to chain-of-custody, seal integrity, and security documentation standards.

• Scheduling & Workforce Planning
  
  

Oversee daily and weekly scheduling for all departments. Maintain updated rosters and ensure appropriate coverage for fluctuating flight schedules, cargo volume demands, and catering timelines.

• Budget & Financial Management
  
  

Manage the station budget, including labor costs, supplies, equipment, and overtime controls. Review daily financial reports provided by Finance and take corrective action as needed.

• Time & Attendance Compliance
  
  

Approve all Time & Attendance records in ADP daily, with final weekly approval submitted by 10:00 AM EST each Monday. Ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations.

• Supply & Equipment Management
  
  

Oversee Ordering, Inventory Tracking, And Maintenance Of

• Cleaning supplies
• Security seals and inspection materials
• Cargo equipment
• Uniforms and PPE
• Company vehicles and ground equipment
  
  

Ensure accurate tracking and cost control.

• Safety & Security Oversight
  
  

Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce compliance with all safety policies. Ensure monthly safety and security acknowledgments are signed and submitted to HR and Service Delivery.

• Equipment & Fleet Oversight
  
  

Monitor company-operated vehicles and ground service equipment for safety, damage, and cleanliness. Review maintenance logs daily and ensure timely repair resolution.

• Facility & Warehouse Oversight
  
  

Maintain Operational Readiness And Organization Of

• Stockrooms
• Equipment areas
• Cargo warehouse spaces
• Catering staging zones
  
  

Ensure cleanliness and regulatory compliance at all times.

• Expense Reporting
  
  

Submit all expense reports and corporate credit card reconciliations by the 1 st of each month.

• Property Accountability
  
  

Ensure all company property and SIDA badges are returned upon employee separation or extended absence.

• Additional Responsibilities
  
  

Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational success.

Qualifications

To perform this role successfully, the individual must demonstrate:

• Strong operational leadership experience in aviation services
• Ability to manage multi-department airport operations
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Exceptional communication and customer-facing professionalism
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMS)
• Experience with payroll and timekeeping systems
  
  

Education And Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Business Administration, Aviation Management, or Operations Management
• Minimum of three (3) years of related management experience in aviation, airport services, logistics, or a related field
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  
  

LANGUAGE ABILITY

• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to present information clearly to customers, airport authorities, and internal leadership
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
  
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Frequent walking, standing, hearing, and speaking
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Exposure to both indoor and outdoor environments, including weather conditions
• Moderate to high noise environment typical of airport ramp and warehouse operations
  
  

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Combination of indoor office, terminal, warehouse, ramp, and outdoor environments
• Exposure to aircraft operations, heavy equipment, and varying weather conditions
• 24/7 operational responsibility including nights, weekends, and holidays
