Carpet Cleaning Trainee Duties And Responsibilities
- Work alongside a Technician at residential and commercial jobs.
- Learn to operate truck-mounted and portable carpet extraction equipment.
- Mix cleaning solutions and use them to clean carpet and remove stains.
- Move furniture and prepare each space for cleaning.
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain equipment after each job.
- Drive the company van when needed.
- Spot and report possible repairs, and help collect customer payments.
- Follow all company policies, with special attention to health and safety procedures.
- No carpet cleaning experience required. We’ll teach you everything.
- Previous cleaning experience of any kind (janitorial, housekeeping, detailing) or general labor experience is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license.
- A strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn and grow.
- The ability to take direction and pay close attention to detail.
- Professionalism with customers and teammates.
- On-call: You will be added to our on-call rotation to help respond to client emergencies.
- Physical demands: This is an active, hands-on job. You’ll stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the day, and you must be able to lift and move items over 50 lbs.
- Carpet Cleaning Trainee (formal training track, 3–6 months): $17/hour
- Carpet Cleaning Technician: Commission-based pay. Average earnings start at $50,000/year, with no cap.
