Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the optometry practice
• Supervise, train, and mentor front desk and clinical staff
• Create and manage employee schedules
• Monitor patient flow to ensure an exceptional patient experience
• Oversee insurance verification
• Manage inventory of office supplies
• Track key performance indicators and practice goals
• Handle patient concerns professionally and effectively
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and office policies
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and performance evaluations
• Work closely with the doctor to improve office efficiency and profitability

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 years of management experience in a healthcare, optometry, or ophthalmology office preferred
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software
• Knowledge of vision insurance plans and medical billing is preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient with basic computer applications
