What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at The Eye Group?
Receptionist | Join Our Growing Team!
We are looking for a bright, compassionate, and upbeat receptionist to join our growing private optometry practice. Our office is family-focused, prevention-oriented, and deeply committed to delivering exceptional eye care in a warm, welcoming environment. We take our work seriously, but we also believe that having fun, supporting one another, and building real relationships with our patients is what makes a great practice thrive.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, values teamwork, and wants to grow personally and professionally within a long-term role. We are seeking a team member who aligns with our culture, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a practice that truly cares about its patients and its staff.
What you will do
You will be the first and last point of contact for our patients, setting the tone for an outstanding experience from the moment they walk through the door. Responsibilities include welcoming patients, checking them in and out, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and assisting with general front-office operations. You will also have the opportunity to learn about eye care and help educate patients on the importance and benefits of routine and medical eye exams.
While prior experience in a medical or optometry office is appreciated, it is not required. We are happy to train the right person and provide the support needed to help you succeed and grow into your full potential.
Why join our practice
We are a high-performing private optometry office that delivers state-of-the-art primary and medical eye care. Our experienced team provides services including primary care, medical therapeutics, contact lens fittings, pre- and post-operative care, and eyewear selection, all within a calm, organized, and patient-focused environment. We pride ourselves on providing excellent care without the stress and chaos often found in larger corporate settings.
We also value work-life balance. There are no evenings or weekends, allowing you to maintain consistency and time outside of work.
