What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (RN) position at The Eye Clinic Surgery Center?
Job Summary: Plans, coordinates, and oversees care for all age patients in pre/post operative departments. Provides nursing care within prevailing national and state standards of practice and the policies of the Center. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to other team members. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Clinical Director which include, but are not limited to: providing patient care in other pre-operative departments, serving on committees, participating in Performance improvement audits and projects.
Job Specifications: Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Currently licensed in the state of Arizona. Basic life support certification (BLS) required, advanced life support certification preferred. Three years experience in ICU, preoperative or: PACU setting required. CPAN or CAPA certification preferred. Demonstrates clinicaI competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities. Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
Job Requirements: Must be physically able to stand and walk-for long periods of time. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work under physical and mental stress. Must have good vein puncture skills. Must have broad understanding of the nursing care needs of the surgical and anesthesia specialties. Maintains professional conduct and appearance. Demonstrates emotional stability, self-motivation, and the ability to make independent decisions and to suggest alternative solutions to problems encountered. Demonstrates ability to work in a team approach with other members of nursing, anesthesia and business staffs. Demonstrates concern and caring attitude towards all patients.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
