Location: Sparta, TN (White County area)
Job Type: Full-time | Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift
The Expositor is growing, and we are looking for a motivated Business Development Sales professional to connect local businesses with our full suite of advertising solutions. From our daily newspaper and specialty niche publications to our digital advertising programs, you will help clients design effective, multi-channel campaigns that deliver measurable results.
What You Will Do
You will build and grow a strong customer base throughout White County and the surrounding area by developing new accounts and strengthening existing relationships. You will sell across our full portfolio of products, including the twice-weekly newspaper, specialty publications, digital display, sponsored content, email, and social media. You will conduct needs assessments and deliver professional presentations that clearly show the return on investment for our clients. You will manage the entire sales process from prospecting and proposal development to closing and follow-up. You will also collaborate with our design, operations, and editorial teams to ensure that all campaigns are accurate, timely, and effective.
What You Bring
- A proven record of success in sales, preferably in media or digital advertising
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills with consistent follow-up
- Confidence in making presentations and the ability to ask the right questions to understand each client’s needs
- Strong organization, self-motivation, and the ability to manage your own pipeline while meeting deadlines
- Comfort making outbound calls and visiting both established advertisers and new prospects
- A valid driver license and reliable transportation
