Based in Irving, Texas or Las Vegas, Nevada, this role supports the successful delivery of high-quality print and graphics for trade shows and live events. The Expo Group is seeking a Production Artist to prepare, proof, and finalize artwork for print, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and on-time delivery while meeting client specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and internal teams to ensure design specifications, quality standards, and deadlines are met
- Input client copy into established templates and style guides provided by graphic designers
- Modify templates to accommodate special requests, sizing changes, and custom needs
- Determine the placement, size, and visual hierarchy of design elements
- Select fonts, text sizes, and styles in alignment with client preferences and brand standards
- Review and proof artwork for accuracy, consistency, and quality at full scale, making corrections as needed
- Work closely with project managers to ensure proofs are reviewed, edited, and finalized on schedule
- Partner with team members to efficiently handle proofing tasks across shared projects
- Track timelines and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
- Assist with graphic design support and special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Graphic Arts or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3 years of production art experience without a degree, or 1 year of internship or professional experience with a degree
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Strong proofreading, typesetting, and attention to detail with solid spelling and grammar skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines
- Clear communication skills for working with clients and cross-functional teams
- Basic knowledge of print production processes
- Experience in the tradeshow or experiential industry preferred, but not required
- Bilingual skills are a plus
