This focus is fully integrated within the core academic disciplines of mathematics, science, social sciences, language arts, and technology. Be a part of a strong, creative, and collaborative staff who put students at the center. You will be supported through coaching, team collaboration and ample classroom supplies. TES operates on a modified year-round schedule.

A highly qualified candidate will:
- Have a Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Education
- Licensed in Art K-12
- Be proficient in the NC essentials related to Art
- Able to manage to organize multiple art materials
- Quick on your feet - able to manage multiple art projects at once.
- Able to plan meaningful art experiences connected to art standards
- Able to clean up store, organize, and display student art projects efficiently
- Able to teach art concepts through art projects
- Able to work with students ages 5 to 14, adapting practice to adjust to develop mental levels.
- Hold high expectations for all students.
- Have a Growth Mindset
- Be proficient with ways to assist special needs students, including students on the spectrum
- Be a learner, flexible and willing to grow
- Work to achieve school philosophy and policies
- Be able and willing to collaborate with other staff
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques
- Communicate regularly and effectively with others
