Job Summary
The Exercise Coach is seeking a energetic fitness coach to deliver private and semi-private exercise instruction to clients of all age groups. This position is part-time, with afternoon, evening and weekend hours available. Coaches are paid hourly when they are in the studio, not just when instructing clients.
Must be available in the afternoons/evenings. Must have reliable transportation
You will conduct initial consultations, lead individual and small-group exercise sessions, sell monthly and package sessions, schedule clients, and assist with studio administrative functions.
No fitness experience is necessary, but candidates with prior experience in fitness instruction a plus. All employees will receive full training in The Exercise Coach methods and technologies and must be able and willing to participate both in our exercise and nutrition methodology. Ideal candidate is people-oriented and is energetic and passionate about good health.
Job Responsibilities
Exercise Instruction
- Evaluate individuals' abilities, needs, and physical conditions, and develop suitable training programs.
- Deliver individual and small group exercise instruction
- Provide corrective measures necessary for skill improvement.
- Monitor individuals' progress and adapt training programs as needed.
- Teach and demonstrate use of training and exercise equipment.
- Provide individuals with information and resources regarding nutrition, weight control, and lifestyle issues.
Administrative
- Administration of client accounts, including the completion of all necessary forms
- Respond promptly to all email correspondence, phone calls, and text messages from clients and prospects
Client Acquisition & Retention
- Conduct initial consultations and promotional sessions with prospective clients when assigned
- Contact clients who are falling behind in their attendance in accordance with our client retention strategy. Log such activities in a prompt and accurate manner
Studio Culture
- Demonstrate a professional, and positive attitude
- Maintain a “team” mentality at all times.
- Demonstrate the value of our brand by actively participating in our fitness program.
Personal Development
- Act as a brand ambassador inside and outside the studio
- Maintain a functional knowledge of fitness-related topics
Qualifications
- Valid CPR/AED certificate from nationally-recognized provider including hands-on training
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
