The Exchange on Vine is looking for energetic, friendly bartenders to join our team for weddings, private events, and special occasions. We are seeking reliable individuals who enjoy working with people and creating memorable experiences for guests in a fun, fast-paced environment.
Whether you're an experienced bartender or someone with strong customer service skills looking to learn, we provide a great opportunity to earn excellent pay while working at one of Eastern Iowa's premier event venues.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, mixed drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional bar area throughout the event
- Process orders and payments accurately using our point-of-sale system
- Assist with bar setup, stocking, inventory, and event breakdown
- Verify guest identification and follow all alcohol service laws and venue policies
- Work closely with venue and catering staff to ensure smooth event operations
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Help maintain a positive, team-oriented environment
Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing personality and strong customer service skills
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, especially Saturdays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Bartending or restaurant experience is preferred but not required
- Must be willing to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must meet Iowa legal requirements for serving alcohol
