About the Role:
The General Clerk III plays a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of an office by providing comprehensive administrative and clerical assistance. This position is responsible for managing correspondence, maintaining records, supporting claims related documentation, and providing front desk support to ensure daily operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple administrative tasks in a fast paced office environment. This role requires in person availability five days per week.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of five years of professional administrative experience, including high volume data entry and clerical work.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and standard correspondence formats.
Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
Ability to report in person five days per week, up to eight hours per day.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience handling confidential or sensitive information.
Experience supporting claims processing or records management functions.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Compose general correspondence such as letters, memoranda, reports, and presentations, and review documents prepared for signature by supervisors or senior staff.
Perform data entry, maintain records, prepare reports, and manage routine administrative and clerical tasks including filing and tracking action items.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring correspondence is logged, sorted, and delivered in a timely manner.
Scan and organize claims related documents, ensuring accuracy and proper filing in digital systems.
Provide front desk support, including greeting visitors, answering phones, and directing inquiries.
Receive and review incoming correspondence and calls, conduct required research, and prepare appropriate replies.
Assist with special reports, gathering facts and ensuring completeness and accuracy of administrative data.
Exercise discretion in handling confidential information and matters.
Establish and maintain files related to program activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
