Loan Assistant

The Loan Assistant will be responsible for performing administrative duties to support the Loan Officers. Knowledge of bank policies, practices, and compliance is necessary.  

Duties/Responsibilities:

Functions and Accountabilities: Including, but not limited to.

• Build and maintain excellent customer relationships; seek to establish trust and confidence
• Maintain complete confidentiality in all areas of work
• Prepare loan documents for loan officers for customer signatures on new and renewed loans; assist customers in signing required documents as necessary
• Make loan advances and pay downs for customers as needed; process paid notes according to bank protocol
• Scan and file updated and required loan documents in customers files to maintain complete and accurate loan files
• Run credit checks and verify other information on customer applications as required by loan officers
• Provide customer service through phone and/or in person requests for account information from customers and direct customers to the appropriate personnel
• Prepare and mail information requests to customers concerning necessary or missing information required for a complete and current loan file
• Mail loan payment and renewal reminders to customers
• Complete all mail in or loan deposits for specific customers as directed by loan officer
• Adopt and ensure the consistent use of repeatable process to assure efficiencies
• Maintain educational compliance as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Banking experience preferred. 

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
