Job Responsibilities
Hours for this position are Monday - Friday 8a-430p. This position does require rotating holiday working as a CNA.
This position is responsible for providing care to assigned residents in a caring, safe and efficient manner and performing the following according to location standards, procedures and individualized resident care plans.
Uses scheduling system accurately to maintain master schedule and work schedules for nursing department. Complies with appropriate location procedures; reviews vacation requests; tracks employee attendance, and brings instances of excess absenteeism to attention of department manager. Uses creative staffing to limit use of Supplemental Nursing Staffing Agency (SNSA) in location; maintains agreements and required documentation with SNSA staff; orients SNSA to location, resolves issues and concerns involving SNSA staff; and reviews SNSA billing for accuracy. Maintains computer reports and provides to DNS daily; implements staff reduction or addition per DNS direction.
Qualifications
A minimum of one-year nursing/CNA background preferred.
Ability to communicate and comprehend; ability to communicate with and motivate employees with diverse ages and backgrounds.
Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations is highly desired. Must be able to communicate with a diverse employee and resident population; must be self-motivated, extremely organized and have good planning abilities.
