We are seeking an attentive and knowledgeable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to be the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to assist in ensuring the nursing department provides attentive and efficient care to patients and help oversee the overall operations of our AMAZING skilled nursing facility. The ADON ( LPN/RN) will assist with the planning, organizing, and implementation of nursing procedures and projects as well as ensuring overall compliance.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) LPN / RN include:
- Supervising all nursing staff
- Maintaining high standards of care for all patients
- Managing patients’ data and medical records as confidential records
- Communicating with doctors, patients and family members about patient health
- Recruiting, training and onboarding new nursing staff
- Providing ongoing education classes
- Implementing new procedures and training Nurses on policies
Qualifications for Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) LPN / RN:
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in MO
- Active CPR certification
- Experience in a Skilled nursing facility or similar setting required
- Great knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare
- Willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration
- Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel
- Great communication and people skills
- Outstanding organizational and stress management skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
