ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Capable of following a defined painting preventive maintenance schedule, accomplish tasks by predetermined deadlines, and maintain the standards of a five-star resortPerforms skilled painting jobs on buildings and other areas within and/or around the hotel propertyApplies primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces such as bare wood or metal for finish coatsApply paint via brush, roller and/or sprayer Maintains clean, organized work areas and securely stores equipment and suppliesCovers surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and removes fixtures such as pictures doorknobs lamps and electric switch covers prior to paintingDemonstrates appropriate usage of paint brushes, thinner and other tools and equipmentCleans and maintains brushes and other tools utilized after every painting jobFills nail holes joints and cracks in walls with plaster or other fillerInspects work for the highest quality REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum 5 years of professional painting experience preferredPrevious hotel experience preferred Painting skills and knowledge of painting tools and equipmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExceptional customer service skillsHighly organized and self-motivatedQuality conscious and detail-orientedAbility to lift/move heavy objectsHigh school diploma or equivalentHotel Villagio & Vintage House offer an attractive compensation and benefits package and the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team.The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
