The Estate Homes is seeking a compassionate, professional, and service-oriented Resident Care Associate to join our team in delivering exceptional personalized care within a luxury residential care setting. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about enhancing the quality of life for seniors through attentive support, meaningful engagement, and dignified care.
As a Resident Care Associate, you will play an essential role in creating a warm, safe, and welcoming home environment for residents, including those requiring memory care or specialized support. We are looking for team members who bring empathy, professionalism, positive energy, and a hospitality-minded approach to caregiving.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and personal hygiene
- Provide compassionate support and companionship while fostering resident dignity, independence, and comfort
- Monitor and document resident well-being, including vital signs, behavioral observations, and changes in condition
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and community protocols
- Support residents with memory care needs using individualized dementia and Alzheimer’s care approaches
- Maintain accurate documentation within internal systems
- Prepare meals and assist residents with dining needs while accommodating dietary preferences and restrictions
- Safely assist with resident transfers and mobility using proper lifting techniques and assistive equipment when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable residential environment through light housekeeping and sanitation support
- Encourage resident participation in social, recreational, and wellness activities
- Collaborate with nursing staff, administrators, and families to support individualized care plans
- Provide behavioral support and redirection for residents with cognitive or developmental challenges
- Assist with resident transportation to appointments, outings, or community activities as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in assisted living, memory care, residential care homes, home care, or senior living preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s support, and person-centered caregiving practices
- Understanding of medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor
- Ability to safely operate mobility and transfer equipment, including Hoyer lifts
- Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation responsibilities
- Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to providing high-quality resident care
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
