Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Manage multiple cooking stations during service, demonstrating effective shift management skills.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and seamless communication during busy periods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes or specials.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies, assisting with ordering as needed to ensure stock availability.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff, providing leadership and guidance in food handling techniques.
- Support banquet preparations as required, ensuring high-quality service for large events.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of food handling and safety practices.
- Excellent hospitality skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Familiarity with food service management principles is preferred.
- Leadership qualities that foster teamwork and collaboration among kitchen staff.
- Experience with menu planning is a plus, along with an understanding of banquet operations.
- Bartending experience is beneficial but not required.
