About the Role:
The Essex Resort & Spa is seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Coordinator to join their team. This role is ideal for a community-minded, content-savvy individual with strong social media skills and a passion for local engagement. The Marketing Coordinator will split their time between the resort and their sister property, the Essex Experience, supporting both entities by working on a variety of marketing initiatives with a strong focus on community outreach and digital presence.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media & Content Creation:

Manage and create engaging content for social media channels across:
- The Essex Resort & Spa.
- The Essex Experience.
- Double E Performance Center.
- Essex Cinemas.
- Develop and execute social media calendars and campaigns.
- Highlight local businesses, resort activities, and events across platforms. Capture and edit photo and video content as needed.
Community Engagement:
- Serve as a brand ambassador for both The Essex Resort & Spa and The Essex Experience.
- Manage donation requests and community outreach.
- Distribute flyers and promotional materials locally.
- Post events to online and physical community boards. Represent the brands at on-site and local events.
Marketing Support:
- Collaborate with resort and Essex Experience teams to align messaging.
- Create basic graphic design assets (social media graphics, flyers, posters).
- Assist with email marketing and paid social media campaigns. Help track and report on marketing performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in marketing, social media management, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva or Adobe Creative Suite).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and strong organizational skills.
- Experience with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Hive, HMA eSuite) is a plus.
- Familiarity with paid media (META, Google Ads) is a bonus. Passion for local community involvement and storytelling.
