What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Experience Host (Village Pointe) position at The Escape Game?
We get paid to make people’s day.
If you’ve worked in a restaurant, hotel, theater, theme park, or retail, and you’re the one guests always ask for by name, you’re probably meant to be on our team.
Does this sound like something you’d have fun doing? Surprising a guest with mozzarella sticks because they mentioned craving some in the lobby before their game, ordering a custom Spider-Man cake in record time for a young guest on their birthday, or coordinating an elaborate marriage proposal in-game. All of these are real moments that happen daily at The Escape Game and Great Big Game Show.
WHO WE ARE
TEG and GBGS design and deliver epic interactive experiences, from immersive escape rooms to live game shows, for guests of all ages!
We study the best: The Ritz-Carlton, Disney, Union Square Hospitality Group, In-N-Out, Pixar.
Our leaders read: Setting the Table (Danny Meyer), Creating Magic (Lee Cockerell), Excellence Wins (Horst Schulze).
Want a career? We’re growing fast and promote from within! We’re looking for people who want an awesome part-time job and people who want to grow into leadership. We have 60 TEG stores and 25 GBGS nationwide and are growing leaders to launch 25-30 more stores in 2027. Our entry-level roles can grow into management in as little as 3-12 months! Growth is based on your performance, availability, and alignment with our Mission, Vision, and Values.
Our mission: To design and deliver epic interactive experiences for every single guest.
Our vision: To define and dominate the escape game and live game show industries and disrupt the world of entertainment.
Our values:
Passion — We love our guests, our brand, and our games.
Integrity — We endeavor to honor God through hard work, honesty, fairness, and generosity.
Creativity — We are always expanding the boundaries of what is possible.
Teamwork — We can best accomplish our goals by selflessly working together.
Excellence — We are relentless in our pursuit to be the best.
Growth — We believe in expanding our business and developing our team members.
We’re serious about our mission, vision, and values. People are the heart of our business, and everything we do revolves around serving each other.
We are guest-obsessed. We want every single guest to leave our building thrilled with their experience! Our job is to make our guests’ day. When a guest has anything less than an epic experience, it is our job and our joy to fix it. A service failure happens when we fail to deliver epic, or when the guest perceives we failed. The guest's perception is our reality. We never argue with guests or force them to defend their point of view — proving a guest "wrong" only upsets them and prevents them from returning or recommending us to others. Instead, we align with their reality and work through the problem until they love TEG & GBGS again. Whether the guest is right or wrong, all that matters is that they are genuinely cared for!
