Role Description The Accounting Assistant is a part-time, 8am-noon, on-site role based in Syracuse, NY. This position supports the finance team with day-to-day transactional accounting, including processing vendor invoices, preparing customer billing, and posting receipts and payments. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records in the accounting system, assisting with bank and account reconciliations, and organizing documentation for audits or reviews. The role also involves helping prepare basic financial reports, monitoring outstanding receivables and payables, and responding to internal and external inquiries regarding billing or payment status. The Accounting Assistant will collaborate closely with operations and management to ensure timely, accurate financial information.

Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles applicable to a manufacturing environment.

- Experience with Bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Ability to assist with preparation and review of basic Financial Statements and reports.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization in handling numerical data and documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with team members and external partners.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
