The Job

We are looking for motivated Pastry Chefs who are eager to learn from our amazing Asian Fusion kitchen with our Specialist Pastry Chefs! You will learn how to prepare the necessary dessert ingredients for your team members in order to create the signature desserts of IZAKAYA. The ideal candidate is a team player, is interested in working in an Asian Fusion restaurant, and can be a true ambassador for the IZAKAYA brand. You work closely with the chefs and all other staff to ensure that all staff members have a good knowledge of the presentation, methods, and recipes. You make sure that all goods received are of the expected standard of HACCP.

IZAKAYA’s executive chef who is also the culinary mastermind of all concepts of The Entourage Group created the menu of subtle Asian flavors with the sophistication of Western cuisine. Highly creative dishes honor ingredients. Flavor and textures work together in the most vibrant and light recipes.

Responsibilities

• Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus

• Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise

• Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards (HACCP)

• Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards

• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests

• Assist in the setup of standard manuals, trial dishes and compiling recipe cards

• Assist the Head Chef in checking and ordering fresh products and dry storage items required by kitchen and other outlets

Requirements

• 1 years of experience as a Chef (preferable in an Asian kitchen)

• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

• Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions

• Familiar with industry’s best practices

• Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)

• Fluent speaking in English

• Living nearby or in Amsterdam is a must
