Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Director-Behavioral Support Consultant to lead our behavioral support consultation program with passion and precision. In this pivotal role, you will supervise other BSCs, ensure the delivery of high-quality behavioral support services, and foster a collaborative environment that promotes positive outcomes for clients. Essential Duties:
- Attend BSC related meetings through the Healthcare Authority including Developmental Disabilities Services Division and Bureau of Behavioral Services.
- Networks and collaborates, as needed, with Healthcare Authority, Developmental Disabilities and Bureau of Behavioral Supports personnel.
- Responsible for providing Clinical Supervision as required by the appropriate licensing board to BSCs employed to provide BSC services to ensure all industry standards and company policies and procedures are being followed. This includes being available to and regularly meeting with all employed BSCs as needed.
- Oversees the work of the independent contractor BSCs to ensure they receive support that meets state licensing board requirements, meets the needs of the clients being served, and ensures company policies and procedures are followed.
- Review and sign off on all employed BSC reports and review progress notes, as needed.
- Tracks and maintains training records of all Enhancement Center BSCs.
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and revising the policies and procedures for BSC program as required by Medicaid and the Healthcare Authority.
- Responsible for the ongoing approval and accreditation of the BSC program including contract renewal applications and preparation for audits.
- Inform the Executive Director if issues arise with the independent contractor therapists, the employed therapists, student interns, or other clinicians under the Clinical Director’s supervision or oversight.
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and training independent contractor therapists, employed therapists, interns and other clinicians, as needed.
- Evaluate the systems used to document and store the health records of BSC clients.
- Perform work in adherence with HIPAA and Enhancement Center policies surrounding confidentiality.
- Conduct performance reviews and corrective actions plans of employed clinicians.
- Maintain records of meetings with clinicians for the Enhancement Center, as required by licensing boards.
- Attend status meetings with the Executive Director regarding:
- Status updates for each BSC,
- Program developments,
- Future project planning, and
- Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement Program processes and planning.
- Collaborate with the administrative support staff for health record management.
- Maintain a client caseload to provide BSC including:
- Conduct client assessments and create Positive Behavior Support Plans,
- Develop Positive Behavior Support Plans,
- Provide ongoing BSC interventions to an assigned caseload of clients. Interventions include attending IDT meetings, provide training as requested to IDT members, meet regularly with BSC clients and provide other appropriate BSC interventions as needed.

Education/Certification/Experience Requirements____________________________________
A minimum of a Masters’ degree in a human services field required.
Extensive experience providing psychotherapy and/or behavior management therapy required.
Experience providing clinical supervision preferred.
Must be independently licensed in the State of New Mexico.
Must be or be eligible to become a Clinical Supervisor approved by the NM Counseling and Therapy Practice Board and the NM Board of Social Work Examiners.
Must have valid driver’s license, registration, insurance and reliable vehicle.

Physical Requirements___________________________________________________________
- The physical requirements of the position include but are not limited to, standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time, use of hands to finger, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, and squat.
- Use of a computer, keyboard, and monitor is necessary.
- Must be able to lift and carry approximately 10-15 pounds.
- Must be able to speak English and listen, hearing sound and words.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
