- Conduct detailed clinical assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and intake interviews utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately determine client needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions focusing on mental health counseling, grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and working with children and individuals with disabilities.
- Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention strategies, crisis management protocols, and behavior management techniques to ensure client safety.
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of medical documentation and records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, special education professionals, medical staff, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Engage in clinical research activities when applicable, contributing to data collection efforts that support ongoing improvements in behavioral health services.
- Proven expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and psychopharmacology.
- Strong experience with crisis intervention, crisis management, and working with individuals experiencing trauma or PTSD.
- Skilled in child & family counseling, working with children with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and providing special education support.
- Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology related to behavioral health.
- Experience delivering telehealth services using secure platforms for remote patient assessments and counseling sessions.
- Ability to handle complex cases involving addiction counseling, chronic pain management, geriatrics, or gender issues counseling with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills for intake processes, patient assessment, case management, and collaborative team interactions.
