Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers and goods to various destinations while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and effective communication. The Transport Driver will operate different types of vehicles, including shuttles, buses, and limousines, ensuring a comfortable and secure experience for all passengers.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate vehicles for shuttle services, deliveries, or paratransit transportation.
- Ensure timely pickups and drop-offs while adhering to scheduled routes.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with their needs during transit.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Assist with heavy lifting of luggage or equipment as needed.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure the safety of passengers and the general public.
Skills
- Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, or commercial driving is preferred.
- Familiarity with bus driving or school bus operations is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with passengers.
- Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with team members and passengers.
- Ability to perform maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure safety and reliability.
- Capability of heavy lifting when required during passenger assistance or loading/unloading tasks.
