This position focuses on developing and delivering impactful training programs for clinical staff, directly influencing patient care and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement educational modules and continuing education programs for all aspects of the abdominal transplant program, including outpatient, transplant ICU, and acute care settings.
- Support clinical staff and transplant coordinators with advanced training, orientation programs, and ongoing education.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with OPTN and CSM guidelines, integrating best practices into educational materials.
- Provide cross-support for the SICU and outpatient transplant unit, including Aurora.
- Participate in a comprehensive 3-day classroom training program.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or a related field (education focus preferred).
Licenses/Certifications:
- Active Texas RN License or multi-state compact RN license, free of stipulations or disciplinary actions.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Certification as a Transplant Coordinator is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of acute care nursing experience.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Kidney Transplant Coordinator (non-negotiable).
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Proven track record of consistent work history.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Epic, OPTN, and CSM guidelines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Honest and clear preferences regarding unit, shift, and location.
