Overview
TEG Design Build, a growing construction company and subsidiary of a real estate investment firm, is seeking an experienced Interior Design Project Manager. In this role, you’ll lead creative and technical design efforts across our multifamily and retail properties — blending aesthetics, functionality, and construction efficiency.
You’ll collaborate closely with our property, construction, and hospitality teams to bring projects from concept through completion, ensuring every space reflects our brand standards and enhances customer experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Documentation
- Create detailed interior design construction drawings in AutoCAD (floor plans, lighting layouts, elevations, sections, and details).
- Develop finish schedules for flooring, cabinetry, hardware, fixtures, and lighting.
- Prepare and review shop drawings and quotes for millwork, countertops, and other finishes.
- Conduct code research and ensure design compliance with all regulations.
- Develop detailed architectural designs and schematics including plans, sections, and elevations using CAD programs including AutoCAD, Revit, and ArchiCad
- Project Management
- Lead and manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure alignment and accuracy.
- Conduct site visits to review progress and resolve design-related issues.
- Manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Maintain organized documentation and drawing files.

- Design innovative interior and exterior concepts for new developments, remodels, and additions.
- Create floor plans, renderings, and visual presentations for review and marketing.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate feedback and ensure cohesive design outcomes.
- Research industry trends, materials, and technologies to keep designs modern and cost-efficient.
- Partner with construction teams to answer design-related RFIs, verify accurate implementation and ensure designs are correctly executed
- Support pre-construction activities, including as-built drawings and site measurements.
- Review and approve material submittals and finish samples.
- Compliance & Permitting
- Ensure all projects comply with building codes, zoning, and permitting requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants and local agencies on permits and entitlements.
- Property Design
- Create design concepts for shared property spaces including:
- Clubhouses, leasing offices, and fitness centers
- Hallways and unit interiors (bathrooms, kitchens, finishes, and colors)
- Outdoor amenities, courtyards, and façade upgrades
- Ensure designs align with brand standards and project budgets.
- Lead design reviews and incorporate feedback efficiently.
- Team & Leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align priorities and project goals.
- Provide direction, mentorship, and problem-solving support to design and construction teams.
- Participate in design meetings, budget reviews, and vendor discussions.
- Qualifications
- Licensed Architect is a REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in interior design and project management within construction or real estate.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
