What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Specialist (Part-Time) position at The Emily Program?

- Part Time - Onsite, 0.6 FTE (24hrs/wk), schedule based around the below time frames.
- Mondays: 7:50am - 11:30am
- Wednesdays: 7:50am - 2:30pm
- Thursdays: 7:50 - 11:30am
- Fridays: 7:40am - 3:30pm
- Facilitates therapy groups including skills groups (including CBT and DBT), self-monitoring groups, and experiential activity groups which may include art activities, music, journaling, mindfulness, relaxation, and movement.
- Participates in therapeutic supported meals and snacks.
- Provides milieu support.
- Contributes to the creation and maintenance of a recovery-oriented therapeutic environment.
- Participates in treatment team, mini team, therapy team, and/or case consultation meetings.
- Completes clinical documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- A bachelor's degree in a mental, behavioral, counseling, or behavioral sciences health-related field is strongly preferred.
- An associate's degree may be considered if combined with equivalent experience in the mental or behavioral health field.
- Regardless of degree, a minimum of 1 years of direct patient care experience in a mental/behavioral health setting is required.
- Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites must have a valid driver's license and be authorized to drive.
- Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites are required to have a current Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites are required to have a current First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
- Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites in North Carolina or Georgia are required to have a current CPI certification within 30 days of hire.

- Engages in self-evaluation process, seeking feedback regarding own practice, from clients, peers, professional colleagues, and others.
