Medical Records Coordinator for The Elmhurst Healthcare

Medical Records Responsibilities:

• Prepare admission records in conjunction with unit secretary.
• Performs assembly and analysis of discharged medical records.
• Responsible for thinning of active records on a regular basis. Maintains thinned medical record information in an organized and secure manner.
• Prepares records for offsite storage and maintains inventory log of stored records.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Must possess outstanding organizational skills.
• Typing, filing and computer experience is necessary.
