The Elisabeth Morrow School, a leader in education from early childhood through middle school, seeks an Aftercare Teachers to provide Aftercare in the early childhood and elementary divisions for the upcoming 2026-2066 school year.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working with students and be patient, flexible, organized, responsible, and helpful to students, families, and staff. Candidates should enjoy working with children aged 2 to grade 4.
This position reports to the director of auxiliary programs and works with early childhood/elementary program staff and administrators to ensure the safety and care of students in our Aftercare program.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Hours: While school is in session, the minimum guaranteed hours are Monday – Friday 2:00-6:00 p.m.
- Supervise students in various after-school auxiliary programs (Aftercare and Adventures programs)
- Facilitate a caring, safe environment for students
- Oversee the arrival and dismissal of students in after-school and Aftercare programs and manage their check-in and check-out daily using SchoolPass
- Supervise students in an early childhood classroom setting
- Communicate students’ needs and parents’ questions to teachers and division directors
- Additional hours may be available for this role
- Other duties and responsibilities as needed
Essential Qualifications
- Experience working with early childhood students, ages 2-5 and/or elementary students, grades 1-4
- Ability to multitask and problem-solve
- Good communication skills
- Patience, flexibility, and adaptability
- Dependable and consistent
