Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking using hand tools and power tools to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
- Operate paint spraying equipment and other application methods to apply coatings efficiently across diverse surfaces
- Use crane or forklift equipment to handle heavy materials and move components safely within the workspace
- Mix paints, primers, and coatings accurately using basic math skills to achieve desired color and consistency standards
- Conduct inspections of finished work with precision measuring instruments to verify coating thickness and uniformity
- Follow safety procedures diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of hazardous materials
- Maintain cleanliness of work area, tools, and equipment to promote a safe and organized environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial or construction painting, auto body repair, or auto painting is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining, fabrication, and materials handling techniques
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, airless paint sprayers, and other relevant machinery
- Ability to operate forklifts or cranes safely; certification preferred but not required
- Basic math skills for measuring paint quantities and calculating coverage areas
- Experience with precision measuring instruments to ensure high-quality finishes
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and warehouse operations is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to industrial painting environments
