The Education Team is hiring Substitute Teachers and Special Education Aides (Paraprofessionals) to support charter schools, private schools, and districts across the San Francisco Bay Area — including Daly City, Redwood City, South San Francisco, and surrounding areas.
Whether you’re leading a classroom or providing one-on-one support, you’ll play a key role in helping students succeed — all while choosing when and where you work.
What You’ll Do
Depending on your assignment, you may:
- Lead classroom instruction and follow lesson plans (Substitute Teachers)
- Support students one-on-one or in small groups (SpEd Aides)
- Assist with classroom management and daily routines
- Help create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
- Support students with diverse learning needs, including behavioral and academic support
- Communicate with teachers, staff, and administrators
- Adapt to different classrooms, grade levels, and school environments
Schedule
- Part-time or full-time — you choose your availability
- Minimum 2 days per week
- Assignments available Monday–Friday
- Opportunities for long-term and permanent placements
Requirements
- BA/BS degree from a regionally accredited institution (or U.S. equivalency) — required for Substitute Teachers
- For Special Education Aides: AA degree, 48 college units preferred
- Experience working with children or in educational settings is a plus
