Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Floor Employee, 21 or over, to join our team in a community oriented historical single-screen theater. As a staff member, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining the overall appearance of the theater and showing an interest in learning more about projection equipment and other aspects of the movie theater industry. **Must have your Food Handlers Permit and MAST permit.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with concession/ticket/merchandise inquiries and purchases
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the theater
- Encourage concession purchasing and upsell where appropriate
- Handle cash transactions accurately
- Communicate in a kind and friendly manner with customers and team members
- Support inventory management by restocking shelves and monitoring product levels
Skills
- Proficient in cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Basic understanding of retail math concepts
- Ability to upsell products effectively
- Interest in building community and knowledge of the theater industry
- Prior experience in retail sales or a restaurant environment is beneficial
