What you’ll do
- Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly smile, ensuring they feel right at home.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize guest flow and minimize wait times.
- Provide menus and offer information about daily specials, enhancing the dining experience.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, fostering positive guest relations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area to create an inviting environment.
- Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, for efficient order processing.
Basic qualifications
- Previous host/host or restaurant experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with guests and team members.
Preferred qualifications
- Background in food service or hospitality is a plus.
- Experience with guest relations and serving techniques to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Proficient phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries professionally.
