Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Manage customer orders with professionalism, upselling menu items to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.
- Handle cash register operations, process cash and card payments, and give correct change while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace by following sanitation standards, cleaning kitchen equipment, counters, and dining areas regularly.
- Assist customers with their food service orders, answer questions about menu items, and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including fryers, grills, ovens, and food prep tools, adhering to food safety management practices.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and food handling within quick service or fast food restaurants.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders quickly while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food industry procedures.
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for cash handling and sales reconciliation.
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely in a restaurant or café environment.
