Position Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations across a growing, multi-unit food service business.
This role is ideal for someone who can keep our books organized, accurate, and ready for CPA review — without the complexity of a corporate accounting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, and reconciliations
- Lead month-end close and prepare accurate financial reports
- Ensure books are clean and ready for CPA review
- Process payroll and handle related reporting
- File state and federal quarterly taxes
- Monitor cash flow, banking activity, and expense tracking
- Maintain financial records in QuickBooks and support POS reporting (Square)
- Identify and improve processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Work closely with ownership on financial visibility and decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-unit or service-based business
- Experience processing payroll and filing state and federal quarterly taxes required
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (required)
- Familiarity with POS systems (Square experience a plus)
- Experience handling month-end close and preparing financials for CPA review
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and manage an accounting assistant for support
