What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Educator- PRE-K position at The Eagle's Nest Play to Learn Center?
The Eagle’s Nest is seeking an experienced Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our early childhood education microschool team. This role is ideal for an educator who is dedicated to helping young children grow academically, socially, and emotionally during their most important developmental years. The Pre-K Teacher will create a warm, engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that support early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development.
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel supported and encouraged.
- Observe, assess, and track children’s developmental progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student growth, milestones, and classroom activities.
- Use developmental data to adjust instruction and support individual learning needs.
- Encourage positive behavior, cooperation, and social skills among students.
- Maintain a structured daily routine that supports learning through play, exploration, and guided activities.
- Collaborate with staff and administration to support program goals and maintain high-quality early childhood education standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience teaching Pre-K or early childhood education.
- Knowledge of child development and early learning standards.
- Experience tracking and documenting developmental progress for young children.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Passion for working with young learners and supporting their growth.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
