Program Manager (Youth Development & Community Engagement) Duxbury Student Union (DSU) | Duxbury, MA (On Site) Looking for a career where every day builds life skills? The Duxbury Student Union (DSU) is seeking an exceptional Program Manager to inspire the next generation of confident, compassionate, and capable young people. DSU is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit and Duxbury's Launchpad for Life, helping youth thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and as future leaders. Through after-school programs, vacation and summer camps, special events like HIREDuxbury, and community service projects, we equip young people with the life skills they'll carry long after graduation. Everything we do is guided by four values: Collaboration • Inclusion • Innovation • FUN! Your Impact This role is far more than program management & supervision. You'll be a mentor, coach, curriculum designer, event producer, cheerleader and community builder. One day you could be teaching students how to prepare a meal, learn a new game, manage money, or solve real-world problems. The next day you might be designing an innovative camp, or helping third graders feel comfortable in their new school campus. What You'll D -Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every student feels known, valued, and supported. -Design engaging after-school programs, camps, and events that develop life skills. -Work collaboratively on signature programs include HIREDuxbury, 52DMS, 82DHS and Coffee Houses -Build strong relationships with students, families, schools, volunteers, businesses, and community partners. -Support marketing, fundraising, social media, newsletters, and outreach that expand DSU's impact. -Manage program logistics, budgets, purchasing, documentation, and EEC compliance while helping staff succeed. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Youth Development, Psychology, Recreation, Social Work, Nonprofit Leadership, or a related field Two or more years of experience in youth development, education, camps, recreation, or nonprofit programming Experience designing curriculum or experiential learning Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills Experience with Google Workspace, Canva, and social media platforms, especially Instagram. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain), successful Background Record Check, and EEC training requirements Teaching experience is valued, but a teaching license is not required. School Year: Monday-Friday, approximately 11:15/12:15 PM-5:15 PM starting August 25th 2026 Summer: Flexible schedule based on camp programming Benefits: Starting pay of $25 /hour, flexible summer scheduling, 10 paid holidays, 10 paid vacation days, professional development, and the opportunity to help shape one of the South Shore's most innovative youth development organizations.
