Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Commercial Office Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across our office facilities in Albany. This role is essential in creating a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for employees and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will have experience in janitorial and custodial services, with a focus on commercial cleaning tasks. Prior experience in floor care, industrial cleaning, or facilities maintenance is a plus. You must have your own transportation, reliable transportation, Drivers License, a social security card and must be legal to work in the United States.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces
- Clean and maintain restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure they meet health and safety standards
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a professional appearance
- Handle specialized cleaning tasks including carpet cleaning, window washing, and industrial cleaning procedures as needed
- Assist with custodial maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to management
- Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Follow established safety protocols and procedures during all cleaning activities
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services preferred; experience in residential painting or industrial cleaning is a plus
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing
- Familiarity with custodial equipment and cleaning chemicals
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and climbing ladders if necessary
- Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled hours
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is advantageous
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 9.0 per week
