Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team, responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and facilities maintenance, capable of troubleshooting complex systems and performing repairs efficiently. The Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within our operations.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and facility systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues using schematics, Ohmmeters, and CMMS software.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders through Slack.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose problems effectively.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as plumbing, HVAC repairs, and general building upkeep.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and participate in safety training sessions regularly.
- Support manufacturing operations by minimizing equipment downtime through prompt repairs.
- Lead or participate in team efforts to improve maintenance procedures and facility reliability.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical systems.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software for work order management.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems, troubleshooting tools like Ohmmeters, and general maintenance practices.
- Excellent customer service skills to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors when necessary.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English/Spanish both verbally and in writing.
