Maintenance and Service Technician
Schedule: M-F, Day Shift
Pay Range: $40,000-$50,000 (Starts at $18/hr project bonuses
and sales commissions)
As a Maintenance & Service Technician at The Drying Company, you will perform routine annual maintenance and necessary repairs for homeowners on previously installed systems. You will also inspect areas of the home, suggesting solutions for problems you identify. What You’ll Do as a Maintenance & Service Tech:
- Perform regular/emergency service and routine annual maintenance on systems installed in attics, basements, and crawl spaces, including but not limited to:
- Changing filters
- Confirming dehumidifiers are functioning properly
- Changing batteries and testing alarms
- Pulling and reinstalling dehumidifiers and sump pumps
- Dig for drain lines and outlets
- Inspect systems and diagnose issues
- Update electronic records with photos, notes, estimates, etc.
- Communicate with homeowners to discuss findings and plan repairs
- Identify problems, educate homeowners, and sell solutions
What We’re Looking for in a Maintenance & Service Tech:
- REQUIRED: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- REQUIRED: Basic mechanical and tool knowledge
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing
- Independent thinking and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to stay busy
- A dedication to providing the highest standards of customer service
- Proficiency with technology and ability to learn software
- An attention to organization, details, and follow-up
- The ability to independently lift/carry 50lbs
- Basic construction and carpentry knowledge preferred
- Sales experience in the home improvement industry preferred

Working Conditions:
- Driving between office and jobsites in company service vehicles
- All seasonal weather conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme heat
- Small, tight, dark, damp areas of the home
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, crouching, kneeling, climbing, etc.
