Position Summary
The Donation Pick-Up Truck Assistant is responsible for supporting daily donation collection and delivery efforts. This team member will work alongside the truck driver to pick up donated goods from community donors, service donation drop-off sites, and transport inventory to our Resale Stores. This is a physically demanding, mission-driven role that offers daily opportunities to serve people with excellence, kindness, and the love of Christ.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the safe and efficient loading, unloading, and transport of donated items.
- Receive donations with gratitude and professionalism, ensuring all interactions reflect the values of The Dream Center.
- Properly secure and organize donations within the truck to prevent damage during transit.
- Support donation box routes by collecting items and maintaining cleanliness around collection sites.
- Cultivate positive donor and customer relationships by providing excellent service.
- When certified, be available to drive as needed.
- Share the love of Christ through words, actions, prayer, and testimony as opportunities arise.
- Adapt to changing schedules and priorities with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
- License/Certification: Valid SC driver’s license required

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout a full 10-hour shift
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs repeatedly in all weather conditions
- Ability to reach overhead and lift from floor level to shoulder height
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks
- Must pass a DOT physical and/or have a valid DOT Medical Card
- Ability to adapt to daily schedule changes and work in a fast-paced environment
